With Law 5239/2025 (Article 39), as of January 1st, 2026, First Aid training becomes mandatory for employees, with emphasis on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the Heimlich Manoeuvre.

The new regulation applies to all businesses with more than 50 employees per site, which are required to train at least 50% of their staff through certified providers and repeat the training every 3 years.
