The importance of a Health & Safety culture and its decisive role in shaping a resilient and safe working environment was highlighted by GEP CEO and President of PASYMEP, George Lambrinos, speaking at this year’s Health & Safety Awards ’26.
Referring to the Panhellenic Survey on Health & Safety at Work, carried out by GEP in collaboration with the Democritus University of Thrace, Mr. Lambrinos pointed out that the findings highlight the need to further strengthen the Health & Safety culture in our country, stressing that collaboration is a key pillar for shaping and consolidating it.
“A Health & Safety culture is built together, through the collaboration of businesses, employees, institutional bodies and the State. And this ability to work together when we share a common purpose is not only essential for Health & Safety. It is a culture we need more broadly, as a society,” he said.
During the evening, GEP’s General Manager, Alexandros Sofianopoulos, and GEP’s CFO, Lefteris Merkouriou, presented the awards in the “Healthy & Safe Workplace” category, honouring companies that invest tangibly in the protection, health and well-being of their people.
As Gold Sponsor of the Health & Safety Awards ’26, GEP has consistently supported initiatives that promote knowledge, innovation and best practices in Occupational Health & Safety, strengthening the collective effort to establish a strong OSH culture.
