The Global Wind Organization (GWO) is a non-profit international organization, founded by leading wind turbine manufacturers and operators. It aims to create a safer working environment and a more productive workforce, in the wind energy sector.
GWO has set a global standard for wind turbine safety, recognized throughout the wind industry. The GWO training standards outline worldwide the requirements for training courses.
GEP is the first certified GWO provider in Greece, Cyprus, the Balkans and the Eastern Mediterranean. Each person trained and certified by our company possesses the necessary knowledge and skills to work safely in the wind energy industry.
GWO Basic Training
The Basic Safety Training includes the following thematic modules:
GWO Advanced Training
The Advanced Training for Rescues, focuses on developing skills to rescue and stabilize victims in remote locations, where immediate access to medical assistance is limited.
Certification
All GWO certifications are valid for 24 months; they can be renewed up to two months before their expiry. Certificates and training records are registered in the WINDA system.
