Active Fire Protection
It concerns measures for the immediate response to a fire, such as:
- Detection and alarm systems
- Fire extinguishing systems and portable fire extinguishers
Passive Fire Protection
Ensures the safe escape from the building and limits the spread of fire, through:
- Escape routes
- Separation of a building into fire compartments
Legislative framework
According to the Fire Protection of Buildings Regulation (PD 71/1988 and PD 41/2018) and the applicable Fire Protection Regulations, a fire protection certificate is required
