Purpose of the HSP

  • Accident Prevention and Health Protection: The HSP aims to prevent any risk that could lead to accidents or injuries, as well as to ensure the health of workers.
  • Compliance with Legislation: It ensures that the project complies with legal requirements for health and safety at the workplace, as outlined by Presidential Decree 305/1996 and other relevant regulations.
  • Organization and Coordination of Safety Measures: It organizes and coordinates all necessary measures for the safe execution of tasks.

Key Elements of the HSP

  • Risk Assessment: The identification of risks that may arise from the project’s activities, along with the measures to reduce these risks.
  • Protection and Safety Measures: Definition and description of the safety measures that must be applied on the site, such as the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire prevention measures, etc.
  • Training Organization: A plan for ongoing training and informing workers about the risks associated with the project and the appropriate safety practices.
  • Emergency Response Strategies: Provisions and procedures for handling emergency situations such as accidents, fires, or natural disasters.
  • Inspection and Monitoring: Procedures for systematically monitoring the application of safety measures and conducting regular site inspections to detect risks early.
  • Communication and Coordination: Establishing communication methods between workers and safety managers for the timely detection and resolution of safety issues.
