Climate change is a global challenge. EU has set a target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 55% until 2030, and to achieve transitioning to zero emissions, by 2050. Businesses are required to report their actions to reduce or offset their emissions, with verification by an independent body.
Why GEP
GEP offers specialized solutions for the monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions, in accordance with the National Climate Law
(L. 4936/2022). We rely on the ISO 14064-1:2018 Standard, ensuring the accurate quantification of emissions.
The process includes:
- Analysis of the company operations
- Setting limits and categorizing emission sources
- Selecting appropriate emission factors
- Data collection and processing
- Calculation of greenhouse gas emissions, resulting from the operations of the company
- Preparation of an Annual Carbon Footprint Report, in the format required by the Ministry of Economy and Finance
GEP supports the Verification of Greenhouse Gas Emissions by a recognized independent body, while undertaking the review and reporting on the emission reduction targets, in the Annual Carbon Footprint Report.
