Training offered by IRATA (International Rope Access Trade Association) is the leading method for working safely at height, using the rope access technique. GEP is a certified training center by IRATA International, to offer participants the necessary training and appropriate skills to perform tasks in demanding and difficult to access environments, adhering to the worldwide strictest safety standards.
With the said training, participants will be able to carry out tasks such as:
- Progression through ropes and belaying
- Reaching a working position with hands free
- Loads lifting / carrying sideways / pulling
- Rescuing colleagues in an emergency, (in accordance with legislation)
For Level 3 Rope Access Technician the training courses focus on:
- solving complex access problems,
- preparing safety and health documents,
- guiding Rope Access Technicians of Level 1 and 2.
Who is it for?
IRATA training is aimed at workers who work in sectors such as:
- Tall structures and confined spaces with difficult access
- Telecommunications and electricity pylons
- Tall trees, roofs and platforms, without protective railings
Participation Requirements
Participation requires the trainees to be in perfect health, without contraindications, such as:
- Cardiovascular diseases, epilepsy, fear of heights
- Alcohol or drug addiction, mental disorders
Training Method & Equipment
The training takes place in person at GEP modern facilities, in accordance with BS8454 standards and Greek Legislation. It includes theoretical & practical training, while all the necessary equipment is provided.
Certification
Certification valid for 3 years is provided after completing the training courses and passing the examinations.
