He proposed a broader framework for universal Health & Safety, aiming to support both workers and citizens.
In closing, he stressed that Health & Safety is not just a matter of compliance and legislation, but a question of workplace culture, education, and human resources.
Dr. Nikolaos Dimitriadis, Head of Neuroscience Services at Optimal HR Group, gave an interactive presentation on the innovative “Neurosafety” services—an outcome of the collaboration between neuroscience and OHS through GEP. This interdisciplinary approach enables a deeper understanding of employees’ safety behavior, the potential prevention of workplace accidents through data-driven assessments and targeted training, while identifying key factors that can reduce business risk, increase safety, and enhance employee wellbeing—even in the most demanding work environments.
Tatiana Tounta, President & CEO of Hellas EAP, presented the results of the 2nd Survey on Mental Health and Wellbeing in the Workplace, conducted in 2023. The survey highlighted alarming indicators of depression, anxiety, anger, and psychosomatic symptoms among employees in Greece. She also discussed the importance of human relationships in the workplace and the unique mental health and wellbeing needs of each individual employee.
In summary, GEP’s overall participation in the Inter-Balkan Conference demonstrated its strong commitment to advancing Occupational Health & Safety through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and strategic partnerships—fostering a high-quality OHS culture with both humanistic and business value.
