The recent report by Alpha TV highlighted, in the most meaningful way, the vital importance of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), emphasizing the need for all citizens to be trained in basic First Aid skills.

As part of this initiative, GEP conducted a specialized CPR training session for the employees of the television station, equipping them with practical knowledge on how to respond effectively to cardiac arrest incidents. The session was delivered by GEP’s Occupational Health Department team, with Mara Retziou, Occupational Health Department Coordinator, serving as the lead trainer.

The critical value of immediate response in such cases was underscored by Eleftheria Gianni, GEP’s Occupational Health Department Manager, through her statements featured in Alpha TV’s prime-time news report on July 3rd.

We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Angela Alessandri, HR Director of Alpha TV, for her valuable collaboration and support—both in organizing the training and in promoting this important initiative through the reach of the television network.

At GEP, we firmly believe that First Aid skills are not a privilege reserved for professionals—they are a duty and a responsibility of every citizen. That’s why we consistently invest in raising awareness and providing training for employees and organizations in matters of Health and Safety.
