Training duration: 10–14/11/2025, 5 days (42 hours), 9:00 – 18:00
The purpose of the training is to enable employees, upon completion, to work safely against falls from height in various difficult-to-access work environments using ropes (IRATA International rope access method) for ascending, securing, reaching work positions with hands-free operation, lifting/lateral transport/lowering of loads, and rescuing a colleague in emergency situations (legally required). Additionally, Level 3 Rope Access Technicians will be capable of solving complex access problems, preparing all necessary safety and health documents, and supervising and guiding Level 1 and 2 Rope Access Technicians at rope access work positions.

Employees working in:
- Tall structures or confined spaces with difficult access
- Telecommunication and power transmission towers
- Tall trees
- Roofs or platforms without guardrails
Training Equipment
All required training equipment is provided by GEP.
Participation Requirements
Trainees should not have any health issues contraindicating safe participation in the training, such as:
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Epilepsy
- Dizziness
- Acrophobia (fear of heights)
- Vertigo
- Balance disorders
- Mobility issues
- Alcohol or drug dependency
- Mental health disorders
- Diabetes
- Infectious diseases
Training Method
The training is conducted in-person at GEP’s specially designed facilities, which comply with the British Standard BS8454 (Code of Practice for the Training of Safe Working at Height and Rescue) and Greek legislation. It includes both theoretical and practical training on safe working at height and rescue.
Certification
After the training, certification exams are conducted.
The certification is valid for 3 years per level.
