According to Greek legislation, workers at height must receive appropriate theoretical and practical training to safely carry out their tasks, use the appropriate protective equipment, and follow rescue procedures. The legislation also mandates that such training must be repeated at regular intervals.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong data-start=\"201\" data-end=\"212\">Purpose<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of the training is to enable workers to work safely against fall risks on portable ladders, scaffolds, mobile work platforms, unprotected edges, etc., and to be able to rescue a colleague in an emergency situation (as required by law).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong data-start=\"118\" data-end=\"132\">Objectives<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>After completing the training, participants will be able to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Understand the risks of working at height and be motivated to protect themselves and their colleagues by applying the safe practices taught.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be familiar with the relevant legislation on work at height.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Know how to prepare a work-at-height task to minimize accident risks and enhance work efficiency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify the necessary equipment, its proper use, and maintenance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognize the dangers of a fall from height, learn how to prevent and respond to such incidents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Competently and effectively use work and rescue equipment to assist a colleague in need.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong data-start=\"230\" data-end=\"249\">Training Method<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In-person training at GEP\u2019s specialized facilities, designed in accordance with the B<strong>ritish standard BS8454<\/strong> (Code of Practice for Safe Working at Height and Rescue Training) and fully aligned with <strong>Greek legislation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The program combines <strong>theoretical instruction<\/strong> with intensive <strong>practical exercises<\/strong>, covering all critical aspects of safe working at height and rescue procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The training is conducted with a maximum ratio of 6 participants per instructor <strong>(6:1)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Training Equipment<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All necessary training equipment is provided by GEP. If participants have their own equipment, its use during the training is encouraged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements for Participation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Participants must not suffer from any medical condition that could hinder the safe execution of the training, such as cardiovascular diseases, epilepsy, vertigo, acrophobia, dizziness, balance disorders, mobility issues, substance or alcohol dependency, mental health disorders, diabetes, or communicable diseases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong data-start=\"198\" data-end=\"212\">Evaluation<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Practical evaluations during the training, as well as a written test consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dates &amp; Times<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>27 February, 09:00 &#8211; 17:00<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Certification<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon completion of the training, participants receive a technical training manual and a Certificate of Competence valid for <strong>3 years<\/strong>. If trainees do not apply the safe working at height and colleague rescue techniques within a 6-month period, refresher training becomes mandatory.
